Fan site gets to play early
It’s not even official yet, however that hasn’t stopped BlackBerry fan site, Crackberry.com managing to get their hands on the yet to be announced BlackBerry Storm 2.
Reportedly due out later in the year, the new model, currently going under the moniker of the BlackBerry 9550, will feature a the same SurePress touchscreen display as found on the original, but with an enhanced interaction.
Other details include the lost of the individual buttons at the base of the phone in favour of ones on the screen and overall improvements to the design and feel supposedly.
Running version 5.1 of the BlackBerry OS, the early prototype model doesn’t have Wi-Fi, however the site says that it has been told it will in the final version.
The verdict? “hands-on with the 9550, it becomes clear that this next-generation Storm is really an evolution of the original Storm.”
