3-year "exile" over
Vodafone contracts will make a return to the shop shelves of Carphone Warehouse after three years.
Thought to be a move to “take back” the UK-based operator’s home market, currently led by O2, its ends a 3-year absence from Carphone Warehouse stores.
In 2006 Vodafone signed an exclusive deal with Carphone Warehouse rival Phones4U, ending the sales of Vodafone contracts through Carphone.
Carphone Warehouse is now set to offer Vodafone’s contracts throughout its 820 shops from next week
Another option currently open to Vodafone to expand in the UK is the potential purchase of struggling T-Mobile, currently said to be under consideration.
